The Road Home

Either direction I go, I am on the "road home" Either I go one way to the lake house where we raised our two oldest daughters and put many miles on our cars! At the lake house, we had lots of cats, a pony and a horse, an old flat bottomed row boat and an ATV. The girls had fun there until they were teenagers - then they wanted to be closer to town and their friends. And friends who had wanted to come out and play at our house stopped wanting to come out anymore because boys were more interesting!
When I go the other way on this road, I go to the apartment we live in over our business in town. This is where my two younger daughters spent most of their time enjoying town life. They love going out to the lake house whenever they can, though. We rented the lake house out and it sunk to near ruin. We have been working on fixing it up all year. We are not finished yet and still have much to do, but it is pleasant to go out there again. So, I feel that no matter which way I drive I am always going home!
